Am Lustnauer Tor 8, Tubingen
Restaurant in Tübingen with a very nice and rustic ambience. You can sit up or down inside, or outside. The friendliness of the service is very different depending on the day. There are no parking spaces directly on site due to the city center location. The price / performance ratio is questionable.
was very nice there, very nice staff, very good food. Starter, main course and dessert, all good. Gladly again
Friendly service, child-friendly menu, delicious roast roast ... Everything is good. I can recommend it.
Mega yummy. We are not often in Tübingen. But when we do, we are always drawn to the sausage kitchen!
Very good Swabian cuisine in a great atmosphere! Price / performance ratio is right 👍 no wonder the recommendation came from a Tübingen resident 😋
Very nice and cozy place, very tasty food, fast service
Very good local dishes (in large portions) and well-served beers. Friendly staff, very clean and spacious while keeping a rustic style. Excellent value for money. Very central location that is well served by public transport.
Good location in summer if shopping in the old town
There is definitely good food here, with a lot of choice and friendly service. I highly recommend it. There is a weekly menu, be sure to check it out.
If the young waitress hadn't been so pretty, friendly and helpful, it would only have been 1 star (0 is not possible) 5.50 euros for a pancake soup is actually only topped by the 15.00 euros for 3 (note: pork sausages with side dishes). And if you thought that Kässpatzn was an inexpensive dish, you can order Kässpatzn for 2 people for 29.00 euros. I don't know whether Alfons Schuhbeck personally wields the wooden spoon here, but you definitely pay inappropriately high.
Restaurant with good and tasty Swabian cuisine. The restaurant has maintained the high standard for years. I really enjoy going there with our non-Swabian guests and I would never be disappointed. Hopefully for many years to come.
Last night (September 3rd, 2020) we were eating with a total of eight people in the sausage kitchen. The service was attentive, the food was good, but quantitatively tight for the price of the dishes and the drinks too expensive. For a cyclist who also had significant qualitative weaknesses to have to pay € 4.50 is unacceptable. For these reasons, I will no longer visit the sausage kitchen.
The Wurstküche is located on the edge of the old town of Tübingen, it is rustic and very comfortably furnished. The food and drink menu is extensive, the quality of the food and salad was very good. The home-baked bread is an absolute recommendation. The service staff is friendly and courteous, which also helps a lot to make you feel comfortable. The opening times are continuous, the price-performance ratio is okay. The Wurstküche restaurant is definitely a very good recommendation.
Quite disappointing: The food is at best average at the level of a simple country inn (the "juicy Ox" was dry as straw) at prices of the upscale cuisine, e.g. (normal) cheese spaetzle for 15 €. There is much better, especially for the price. The good beer, the professional service and the ambience should be positively mentioned, which is why it was still 3 stars. For a beer, the dishes are largely disappointing!
Nice to sit. Friendly waiter. Only drank something. Hence no reviews for food. And ! Our dog was given water right away.
On 18 August 2020, at19:00, this 85 year old very very unfriendly and grumpy, angry, skinny waiter or owner greeted us with “we usually don’t accept 2 people for a large table it’s not economical. (they don’t have small tables anyway). We were asked to fill up the Covid-19 contact tracing. We filled it up with just a number and left the address blank. We know from the German gov’t that one must only put a contact number and not email address or home address for data protection. Suddenly this grumpy angry unfriendly 85 year old man started barking to us like a mad dog for not providing the home address. So we left and promised not to come back to this restaurant with super bad and rude customer service. He just showed us what kind of a person is he - uneducated and doesn’t treat people with respect and dignity. We will not come back to this restaurant called Wurstküche. It should be called WORST KITCHEN.
The menu promises enjoyment, there are many dishes and you are spoiled for choice. Ordered the Maultaschen with potato salad and side salad full of expectation, the dish did not do justice to the price. The potato salad is bland, the Maultaschen a bit lukewarm, the side salad okay. The roast pork with sauerkraut and spaetzle was also a bit behind expectations. Shame, that was a bit of a disappointment.
Highly recommended. Very good German cuisine in a rustic, older atmosphere. Service very friendly and really quick. Got a seat despite a spontaneous visit on Sunday evening. In terms of price a little more than in comparable restaurants, but absolutely fair. Gladly again:)
Not recommended. Food is more expensive than other restaurants with a cup of water 3 euros. The middle-aged waitress wearing flip flops is rude when we know the water is not free and want to (failed) return it. Many flies (26.Jul) are there disturbing our dinner. I won't go there any more either myself or with other people.
Cozy and rustically furnished restaurant that convinced us. Everything is very clean and appetizing. The service was attentive and friendly throughout, from the employees to the boss. The crispy salad with roasted chicken and the great house dressing are highly recommended. Unfortunately, they don't reveal the recipe.
Very characteristic place with a quiet and very nice environment. This combined with Very good be and dishes this place one of the best in Tuebingen
Traditional local German food. Popular with "the grown-up" set. Superb Maultaschen.
Traditional Brauhaus with typical swabian food. Prices are according to the expected and the service was fast and straightforward. I tried the Käsespätzle and it was delicious. Cosy environement and it's definitely not a touristic spot. Menu is In English and German. Good selection of beers. Has Vegetarian Options
This place used to be a lot better regarding not only the prices but also the quality of food. On top of the overpriced dishes and drinks, they refuse to serve tap water. When asked for an extra plate to share portions with, the server asked us to pay 3,50 euro. Sure, its a fine place for tourists with deep pockets but locals and especially students beware: Schwäbische penny pinchers own the place.
Good food
Very nice food...
Good German food, very friendly people 😎
Some of my favourite interpretations of the greatest hits of Swabian cuisine. And great decor. And great service. And some imaginative twists too (I'm thinking of the ice-cream Ofenschlupfer (bread and apple pudding))
I don't really understand why some people provided low ratings. This is not a Michelin Restaurant but a local German 'Gaststatte' and should be rated accordingly. The food is amazing and so is the beer. The waiters are not multi-nation chain restaurant employees but locals and they behave accordingly. I'd recommend this place.
cool, nice svabian dishes
Wonderful place
Nice local food and beers in a very characteristic place. Worth a dinner. Not always pleasant waitresses.
Used to be better and cheeper. Maybe the management changed?
Meal and beer where great. I want authentic German meal and this was it.
Good traditional.German food.
Great food here, tried the schnitzel and sausage, finished with the black forest cake. Yummy!
I like this place, especially to sit outside
Excellent!!!
Swift service, great food
The food is not bad. But for food at such prices there are better places with better quality. Fazi: Price performance does not fit.
Typical Schwäbisch food, Nice personal, good atmosphere.
Solid Swabish German fare, even some vegetarian options--very good linsen and spätzle!
Very nice atmosphere and traditional local food.
If you go on a weekend, there is no place for tourists and reservation is required! You can just go on weekdays. The staff is friendly! I think German people would enjoy it .... just for me Italian restaurant next to potato soup noodle is more delicious
I was told to order Zwiebelrostbraten (roast beef with onions), it was amazing!
This is a very nice and really swabian Place to eat and drink once you get a nice Wurstküchenteller and a good beer you will be enjoying yourself in the beautiful and comfortable surroundings of this nice old house. The staff is very kind and they will take very good care of you.
Characteristic, warm and welcoming environment. Not very "international" but the menus were still understandable. The staff were friendly and nice, but poor English. Highly recommended.
Highly recommend this is you haven't already been here.
Again and again Topp👍👍👍 I was now 2 times in a row in the "Quaint" there it is very nice and comfortable. The service is just great and very attentive. We felt very well and will be back for sure. The food was also perfect! 😊😋👍
Good food great ambiance
